Job Description:

1. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To contribute to a smooth running of the cinema while ensuring that superior quality of customer service is delivered at all times. 2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • To operate kiosk, delivering the required standard of customer service, retail offer and programme knowledge. • To proactively work on increasing shop spend while always offering the best possible deal for the customer and to implement sales promotions as requested by cinema management. • To observe all procedures related to cash handling as outlined by cinema management. • To carry out the cinema’s customer relations policy and to assist with customer queries. • To deal with customer comments and when necessary, refer them to a supervisor or manager. • To greet guests frequenting Movies @ Swords and direct them to restrooms, kiosk and screens. • To take part in any promotional activity in the cinema as requested by the management. • To examine tickets for validity and to implement and enforce IFCO certification rules. • To clean auditoriums, lobbies, shops and bathrooms. Staff are required to demonstrate ability to complete these tasks thoroughly, within the set timeframe and unsupervised. • To complete timely checks on screens, including: picture and sound quality, temperature and sound levels, monitoring audience for illegal recording and general disruptive behaviour. Staff are required to report any issues to a supervisor/manager and deal or assist with dealing with them as instructed. • To prevent and report incidents of piracy. • To complete timely checks on bathroom standards, including: slipping hazards, paper and soap availability and general level of cleanliness. Staff are required to deal with any such issues without delay and to report any maintenance issues to the management. • General cleaning and maintaining of visual standards. • To show customers to their seats in screens; lighting the way with torch if necessary. This process may include settling disputes or helping to solve other customer concerns. • To provide assistance with patrons' special needs, such as helping those with wheelchairs. • To ensure the highest standard of personal hygiene and grooming; to wear proper, clean uniform as directed by cinema management. • To observe all safety rules and procedures; to ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of themselves, other employees, customers and other persons on the premises. • To take part in fire and accident drills and to evacuate patrons (in an emergency) in-line with the cinema’s fire evacuation procedure, as per the fire training received. • To report and where possible take action on incidents of fire, loss or damage to company’s stock or property. • To assist in stock management by processing products correctly at POS, implementation of stock rotation principles (First In First Out) and accurate recording of damaged products. • To maintain proper level of cleanliness and tidiness in the storerooms. To assist with taking and putting away deliveries when needed. • To report and record lost or found property as requested by cinema management; assists customers in searching for lost articles or for parents of lost children.
