Ice Marshall/Skate Marshall

Role Responsibilities • Ensure the safety of all skaters on the ice. • To assist in the overall development of the activities in the Ice Rink including direct supervision for specific sessions and events. • Provide assistance to beginners and maintain a friendly, welcoming atmos-phere. • Enforce rink rules and regulations. • Assist with skate rentals and returns. • To ensure that the Ice Rink is prepared at all times for the customers, includ-ing setting up and dismantling equipment, cleaning facilities and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times. • To ensure that the Ice Plant room is monitored and any maintenance and re-medial action is reported to the Senior Ice Assistant. • To ensure that Ice maintenance meets Health and Safety regulations. • To carry out cleaning and litter-picking duties in the Ice Rink. • To ensure that all faults, damage, accidents, incidents and any other occur-rences are dealt with immediately, recorded daily and reported to the Man-agement where necessary. • To assist users in difficulty and when necessary and give first aid to any inju-ries sustained. The Ideal Candidate • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Previous experience in retail or ticket sales is a plus. • Attention to detail and ability to handle cash accurately. • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations. • Ability to deal firmly and politely with customers and with a positive, pleasant and helpful attitude.
