Craghoppers Reaches a Huge Sustainable Milestone
CRAGHOPPERS TO REACH 100 MILLION PLASTIC BOTTLES RECYCLED BY SUMMER 2023.
Outdoor clothing brand, Craghoppers will have recycled over 100 million plastic bottles by this summer to help reduce its impact on the environment.
Established in 1965, Craghoppers has made sustainability a pillar of the brand’s ethos. Its work to reduce the environmental impact of its products has led the brand to offer a guarantee for life on products and has recently begin working with independent bodies like the Sustainable Apparel Coalition where Craghoppers can be held to the highest standards when it comes to sustainability.
Over 70% of Craghoppers’ products is made using recycled materials and the brand is continuing to focus on developing technology that is planet friendly too. For example, the water repellent technology that features heavily throughout the range, aptly named EcoShield DWR, uses 63% renewably sourced content from a variety of plant-based sources.
Brian Fox, Managing Director of Craghoppers Ireland said: “Reaching this milestone is a huge step for Craghoppers. We love the outdoors, and we want to share that love with as many people as we can.
We want to make the outdoors more accessible than ever before, and we hope by offering a sustainable and quality choice in outdoor kit, more people can begin their adventures with the knowledge that their purchases are having as positive an impact on the environment as possible.”
